TV Caption Problems?

Posted by : bwd54 | On : April 4, 2010

I watch AMC movies with the Closed Caption setting on my TV, I wear hearing aids and use the cations to supplement the sound to keep the sound off or low when I am not wearing them.

Why are the captions so delayed and misspelled ? It is pointless most of the time.

Somthing should be able to be done as these movies are Classics and having been around a long time the captions should be accurate and relative.

The cations are also messed up on the commercials also.

Thanks

I will tell you about an interesting, er, mistake in the closed captions that is alleged to have happened here in Britain. It seems that some years ago that our Prime Minister was in a place called Helensburgh in Scotland, and the news anchor said, “And now over to our reporter with the Prime Minister in Helensburgh, but the closed caption (or subtitle as they are called over here) read, “And now over to our reporter with the Prime Minister in Helen’s bra”!!!!!!!
