Hi –

I do not see on your website any references to the “AMC Classic Movie Companion“, which I know I heard mentioned several times during the Greta Garbo festival late last month. I am wondering where on your site there is a phone number for ordering or some other way to find out details about this book/guide ??

Thank you –

To Whom it May Concern,

I am telling everyone I know to stop watching your channel and to complain to their cable company about your poor programming policy. I do not understand how you can justify 5 minutes of commercials after only 10 minutes of your movies. I was under the impression that one of the reasons I would choose to watch you on cable was to not be subjected to a deluge of commercials. I was very much interested in watching, The Kingdom, on Sunday night, but your constant frequent interruptions really took away my enjoying the movie and I finally turned it off.

I have a very substantial network of business contacts all across North America and Canada. I don’t know if you are on any Canadian stations but you can expect complaints in the Canadian market as well. I have at least 12,000 personal contacts and I can assure you from the time we have been in business together they will honor my request to encourage all of their contacts to do the same.

Oh, by the way, if you think this is petty and I am over reacting you maybe right; however, I do not take much time to watch television so when I do I expect to watch the program I am interested in not a bunch of commercials.

I am appalled at the AXE commercial that aired on Monday morning around 10:00 a.m. The subject was “ball cleaning.” It was full of dirty innuendos and should never have been shown on television, I don’t care what cable channel you are!!

What a turkey, complete with feathers! How can you people turn out such a winner as “Madmen” then foist off on us the likes of “Rubicon”? Is it going anywhere? Questionable plot, “subprime” writing and absolutely deplorable acting. Put it out of its misery. And, suggest that the writers do some reading about the US intelligence community – e.g., the NSA, the CIA, the FBI and ONI to learn how they really work.

Dear AMC, You have ruined Saturdays for me and many of
my friends who have, for a long time, enjoyed Saturdays at
the westerns. No more can I make coffee at 5:00am and enjoy
great old western movie classics until the pot is dry, and then
make breakfast, another pot of coffee and enjoy westerns all
day long…No, not now. As a matter of fact I’m strongly considering
turning my cable off and just forgetting about TV all the way around.
The garbage you are showing after just one or two westerns on
Saturday mornings now is a great big turn off.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Will you please tell me the start date of the new season of “Mad Men“? I love the show, haven’t missed an episode and fear I will not find out in time to catch the beginning of the new season. Your cast is wonderful and stories great. Thank you.

My late father is in it and I want to purchase the episode or series.

The picture, used in one of the slide shows, that was identified as being from the Horse Soldiers is an error. That picture shown was taken from the Undefeated in which he (John Wayne) starred with Rock Hudson. In the picture is a young man with long back hair who is blowing a bugle. He is standing to the right and behind John Wayne. This character known as “Blue Boy” appeared in the movie the Undefeated and not the Horse Soldiers.
