the delayed Season 4 of AMC’s drama Breaking Bad will premiere on Sunday, July 17. The cable network took a longer-than-usual break between Season 3 of the show, which launched in March of last year, and Season 4, but it will be upon us soon!

2) VOLUME & Commercials!
Your channel is the WORST of any other channel about increasing the volume of commercials. You have to turn the volume way up to hear the movie your watching, and then a commercial comes on and blows you out of your chair. It’s ridiculous!!

I’m sending these same complaints about your channel, as well as the cable company, & industry as a whole, to the FCC. I’m sure it wont do a lot of good, as your industry spends millions of dollars through lobbyist to make sure you, rather than the consumer is protected.

Please do SOMETHING, or ANYTHING to improve some of these issues.

1) COMMERCIALS! You guys used to run most “movies” commercial free, or at least with “limited” commercials, but NOW you run more commercials than ANY other channel. If that wasn’t bad enough, the amount of commercial time versus movie time is ridiculous. You’ll run 10 minutes of the movie, followed by 15 straight minutes of commercial. The ratio is so far out of proportion that I’ll end up losing interest waiting for the show to come back on, and change channels.

It would be semi-understandable, if the revenue from the commercials was paying for broadcasting over the air, where your channel was free to everyone, but when people first started paying for satellite and cable, it was to get commercial free TV. Back in those days it was just HBO, and a few others and folks were willing to pay for the service even though there were plenty of networks broadcasting totally free TV. The sole reason they “were” willing to pay, was they got to watch movies in their homes, commercial free. Now I feel like I’m getting ripped off by “everyone” involved in the supply chain. First off, I pay over $50/month for basic cable. For that price I get about 60 channels of which I get to choose none. From those 60, I found about 4 that are actually worth watching. Now I feel like I’m paying $50/month to be bombarded with commercials. I compare the experience with this: say your using your cell phone that you pay $50/month for to talk to your family that lives across the country and during the phone conversation, about every 10 minutes the operator breaks in on your conversation, puts your family on hold, and forces you to listen to 15 minutes of a telemarketing pitch before you can resume your conversation!

The government has finally put laws in place to protect people from the telemarketing, and setup “do not call” lists, but for some reason we are all subjected to this same thing constantly while trying to relax and enjoy a TV show.

Hello, I just wanted to say that AMC has been one of my top 3 favorite channels for years now. With all the ridiculous “reality” shows, your channel is one of the few that remains a place to go and watch a good “movie”.

However, I have to say that your channel has deteriorated drastically over the last year or so. I like the opportunity to catch a program that I missed, but you take it to extremes. There are times you air the same program 4 or 5 times in a single day, & repeat the same lineup several times in the same week. I’ve also seen a show run looped 3 or 4 times. There are SO MANY really good movies out there, you should really have no problem filling your air time with quality movies without showing the same one 12 times in a week.

Then on some of your series you have the opposite problem. “The Killing” for example. I started watching and found it something I was interested in, but I missed a few episodes, and with you guys having a recent history of beating shows to death with constant replay, this show offers NO replays at all.

A comment regarding the Sunday, 5/22/11 episode of The Killing.

There should have been a violence disclaimer. The degree of violence displayed during the killing of the teacher is inexcusable. Additionally, there is enough stereotyping of black men on television without AMC adding fuel to the fire.

I just cried in anger when I saw this portion of the episode–SHAME ON YOU.

At 1:30 PM CST, you began showing “Last of the Dogmen” with Tom Berenger. I desperately need a copy of this movie for my husband for Father’s Day! I have been to every website I can find. British compliant copies are available, but not ones that will play either on an American VHS player or DVD player. Do you have any idea where I might be able to find a copy of this movie? We both enjoy all your movies (wish that you would limit commercials, as has already been expressed), but understand that you, also, “have to pay the bills”. Thanks for the great movies that you provide and I truly hope that you can help me! Sharon

Everyone is talking about “the killing”. Sadly, I haven’t seen any of the episodes. Will you be having another marathon so that I can catch up with this great show.
I’d much rather watch it on TV (FIOS), than on the internet.

Thank you,
Jeanne

Good morning,
I wanted to let you folks know that you have a time lag in the audio
system. It has been going on for days now and it is affecting shows and
commercials alike.

Thought you ought to know,
