I’ve been looking into getting a new TV for the past few weeks. My current unit is a 42 inch Samsung which I purchased before HD was very prevalent. It is still HD, but it is only 720p which is not as good as the now standard 1020p or 1020i formats. I really do not miss the image quality reduction that my 720p offers when watching my HD channels. In fact, I can only tolerate watching HD channels now that I’m used to the image. When a non-hd channel comes on, I find it very hard to watch.
So, I’m wondering what your thoughts are out there. Do you have AMC-HD or are you still watching the lower resolution version? Does it make a big difference to you either way? What size/brand TV is everyone using and does anyone have a recommendation on what my next TV should be – considering I definitely want to upgrade to at least 1020!
My current Samsung, that I mentioned above is of the DLP variety, which do not seem to be as common anymore. It looks like all the good new TVs they are pedaling are either LCD, LED TV or Plasma. What are your thoughts?

I used to be a great fan of American Movie Classics channel.
But NO LONGER.
You have destroyed these great movie classics with your idiotic “Story Notes”.
It distracts from these great movies. Disrupts the whole movie.
I will no longer watch your channel until this crape stops.
Nice going, you ruined a very good thing.
Story Notes suck!

Hi, could you tell me if Monolith Monsters will ever be on TV? I remember seeing this awesome science fiction movie when I was a child, and I would like to see it again.
Thanks,

I appreciate the guest post, Ignacio Phillips
When it comes to television reality shows, many will agree that none can top American Idol. This show has become a legend in American living rooms for lots of reasons. We can tune into the show on satellite TV, that I got after seeing this http://www.direc4u.com, almost anywhere from the airport to the car dealership, because it seems that every TV is tuned into the show when it airs. We get to participate interactively by voting for our favorites when we get down to the top two dozen contestants. Not only that, but the show has become the “it” place to showcase the extreme talent that sometimes otherwise goes unnoticed. The real life stories of some contestants can jerk a tear from a glass eye!
Then, there’s the other side of the coin, which is almost as good. That’s the folks who think they’re talented or know they’re not and just want their few minutes of fame. These people are sometimes amazing in their sheer lack of talent and the fact that they are either brave enough or stupid enough to want the world to see it.
The judges of the show, no matter who they are, add even more fascination to the show as we sometimes get to see some of the interesting facets of their true personalities, not to mention witnessing their star power in a whole new way. No matter why you tune into the show, it is apparent why American Idol is a hit all over the globe.

What has happened to the next season of the Walking Dead? I thought it was supposed to be in the spring of this year. We love the series.
Thank you

We know that commericals pays the bills. And by now you have had your share of complients. This channel featured commerical free programming for years. Is there anything can be done about this situation?

It seems obvious to me that “Tora, Tora, Tora” has to be the greatest War movie, although I give “Gettysburg” props as a very close second.
