I’m trying to watch “Mission Impossible” and there is a very distracting ad on the screen for “Breaking Bad“. I do not watch that show and I very much resent the ad. I switched to another channel, due to the ad. Keep the ad….lose viewers. Seems like a no brainer.

Dear AMC,

Your announcer just introduced ‘The Greatest Story Ever Told‘ and a 1961 release. Sorry but that is totally incorrect. The film was released in 1965 and I remember it as a ‘cleansing’ movie for me as I had just returned from Viet Nam and attended the Premier of the movie in Washington, D.C.

Please correct this mistake for the viewing public and for me.

Thank You,

I watch AMC movies with the Closed Caption setting on my TV, I wear hearing aids and use the cations to supplement the sound to keep the sound off or low when I am not wearing them.

Why are the captions so delayed and misspelled ? It is pointless most of the time.

Somthing should be able to be done as these movies are Classics and having been around a long time the captions should be accurate and relative.

The cations are also messed up on the commercials also.

Thanks

Regarding the series “Breaking Bad“, while the acting is solid and story premise interesting, it fails in the dramatic sense.

Tthe idea of “drama” is to be dramatic. Every scene in a movie should either be captivating or push the story forward with style.

Seems today’s directors brazenly ignore this. They could take a hint from Martin Scorsese’s “Good Fellas”. Strong characters in strong scenes, one after the other.

“Breaking Bad” seems like it would have made an interesting 2-hour film. It’s clear the idea was expanded as a means to sell advertising slots. Well, suffice to say, one gets tired of such transparent exploitation of the viewer. Try to remember we pay for your channel and don’t particularly care for long commercial breaks.

Given all the hype AMC raised over “Breaking Bad”, they are to be lombasted for presenting an overcooked turkey. This isn’t “The Godfather”, “Good Fellas” or even “The King of New York”. It is what it is: a tedious soap with occasional relief in the form of so-so action. Not good enough.

Sincerely,

Rob Holden

Gangs of New York = Colossal bore. Endless talking heads. Weak romance. Not much action. Showdown between protagonist and antagonist stilted and cliche.

Thumbs Up for:

Kelly’s Heroes
The Godfather I
Enter the Dragon
Pulp Fiction

I’ll start by saying AMC is the best movie channel I’ve encountered so far. But a few features are pretty lackluster.

For example, “Red Planet“. Visually interesting, but not much going on plot-wise except for marooned astronauts up against a bizarre, dog-like robot.

Breaking Bad“? Lots of hype, but so far a crushing bore.

To whom it may concern;
I am seeing advertisements on AMC for this season’s run of Breaking Bad.  I may be an old fogie, but frankly, I believe by you running this series and those like it you are corrupting our society.  Fact: the United States has a huge drug problem.  Fact: drug money is on the verge of ruining our economy.  This program: Breaking Bad glorifies drugs, (especially Meth,) drug dealers and the people who manufacture this abomination.  The series also promotes and validates violence and exploits those who are involved in the illegal use, manufacture and sales  of this crap.

Why doesn’t your network stick to what you know and show classic movies as you name dipicts?  I am forwarding a copy of this correspondence to the Federal Communications Commission for their complaint library.  Thank you for indulging me in this matter.

Hello,
I love old movies and you sure do your part to present them to all of us.
My dad took me to the theaters in 1967 to see this now classic movie “The War Wagon
So naturally, when I saw it showing today I jumped on the chance to watch it again.
But, your presentation of 54 minutes of commercials for a 96 minute movie really really pisses me off.
Crap like this is making me this close —–> <—— to dumping you jerks and going with Netflix

The War Wagon(1967)
An ex-convict and his partner eye an armored stagecoach fitted with a Gatling gun and full of gold.
John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, Howard Keel, Robert Walker Jr., Keenan Wynn

Why aren’t you playing more Shemp episodes. I know Curly is the preference for a lot of stooge fans, but Shemp has his fans aswell & I would hate to see him forgotten.
