Several years ago I saw a movie.   I only remember that it was a love story.  The man was a white man.  The woman was an islander.  Maybe from Hawaii or some other tropical island.  They fell in love and had to get the chief or council’s permission to marry.  They did marry.  They wanted to have children and were having trouble.  So the wife brought her sister home to her husband, so she could give a child to her husband.  Then at the end of the movie, something went wrong and the wife had to throw herself into a volcano.  If someone can tell me the name of this movie,  I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you  Annette
